In a lot of ways, Hitman 3 will be more Hitman (or should they remained with the episodic release, Hitman Season 3). But there are some new features now-indie developers IO Interactive are adding to the last entry of this trilogy of games. Like VR support.
The new trailer for Hitman 3 is a nice reminder of how the game will be playable fully in VR. The gunplay is improved thanks to you being able to aim around corners and graphically it’s not too shabby.
The trailer not only shows more snippets of the three revealed Hitman 3 maps (Dubai, Dartmoor, Chongqing) but also shows past Hitman (2016) and Hitman 2 maps as well, in VR.
If you own Hitman (2016) and Hitman 2 on the same platform, you can play those maps again in Hitman 3.
If you own a PSVR, this might be a good reason to get it all setup back, or order that free PS Camera adapter to get the PSVR plugged into a PS5.
Previously, Hitman 3 was revealed to have “persistent shortcuts” that only unlock one-way and will remain unlocked for subsequent playthroughs.
Hitman 3 will be out on January 21 on the PS4, PS5, PC (Epic Games Store), Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and Stadia.
