It’s safe to say that new games on Game Pass will keep coming, but at a relatively measly quantity compared to the early heydays of the game subscription service. At least that should make it less overwhelming if you feel like the backlog of games you’ve been renting kept on getting bigger and bigger every month.
For early April, two big titles head to Game Pass – Ghostwire Tokyo and the upcoming release of Minecraft Legends. These games are under the Xbox Game Studios banner- well, sort of for Ghostwire as it’s technically under Bethesda that’s owned by Microsoft so it’s first-party-adjacent. Second-party? Should we bring that term back?
Also of note is the addition of Iron Brigade. This is a Double Fine joint (now an Xbox Game Studios studio) and it’s a game about trench warfare where you pilot.. mechs. Yes, mechs. This was made during the indie dev era for the developer when they made a number of Xbox Live Arcade games for the Xbox 360. It’s only available for console (and cloud)- the game never had a PC release- but at least it’s good to see this being rolled into Game Pass.
And that leaves the new games coming to the service by third-party devs at.. two games. Three if you count Goat Simulator, which re-entered Game Pass in between this and the previous Game Pass additions announcement.

It is concerning that the number of games leaving Game Pass is more than the ones entering them in the past few months.
