Square Enix has shared a tiny little tidbit about what’s coming to Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade, the PS5 version of Final Fantasy VII Remake.
We’ve already known that there will be new graphical improvements. This includes new fog effects, new textures, and an option to prioritise 4K resolution or 60fps performance. There’s also a photo mode too.
What will be the exciting new addition is the new DLC episode featuring Yuffie Kisaragi. The optional party member in the original Final Fantasy VII didn’t appear in Remake (plot-wise, she’s not supposed to appear yet). But this DLC episode will give you a chance to play as the ninja from Wutai, with some new gameplay additions.
Yuffie is accompanied by Sonon Kusakabe, a Wutai warrior trained under Yuffie’s father.
Also, we now know that the DLC episode consists of two chapters. Based on how Final Fantasy VII Remake’s chapters, that’s a meaty DLC.
However, note that this is DLC, and only for the PS5. Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade will include the DLC.
And while those with the PS4 version (except if you have FFVIIR from the free PS Plus offer this month) can upgrade to the PS5 version as a free next-gen upgrade, it won’t include the DLC. And the physical version will have a DLC code for it- so second-hand versions might not necessarily have the DLC.
Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade will be available on June 10 for the PS5.
