With Cyberpunk 2077 not releasing this week as intended, we got a new gameplay reveal in a special Night City Wire broadcast.
It’s a short, 10-minute one, but with one focus: showing off new gameplay running on Xbox consoles.
The gameplay clip switches back-and-forth between Xbox One X and Xbox Series X gameplay. No side-by-side comparison is offered, and the Series X gameplay is running via backward compatibility.
Still, it’s worth a look. At least in this slice of gameplay shown, Cyberpunk looks not too shabby running on consoles, and it’s been a long while since we’ve heard a female V, the playable character.
The question still remains on the performance of the original Xbox One, or Xbox One S, which is the least powerful machine that will have this game available on.
Developers CD Projekt Red also revealed that gameplay running on a PlayStation will be coming at a later date.
Cyberpunk 2077 will have another Night City Wire broadcast on November 19, detailing the music and rockerboy Johnny Silverhand, the character played by Keanu Reeves.
Cyberpunk 2077 will be out on December 10, 2020 for the PS4, PC (Steam, Epic Games Store, GOG), Xbox One and Stadia. It’s playable on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S via backwards compatibility, but a next-gen version of the game is coming soon as a free update.
