New 2025 Samsung Odyssey Gaming Monitors Bring In Bigger, Faster OLED Screens

Samsung has revealed a slate of new monitors, including gaming monitors as part of the Samsung Odyssey line, for 2025.

Two new Samsung Odyssey gaming monitors are pushing how big and how fast an OLED screen can be and go, respectively.

The new Odyssey OLED G8 (G81SF) is Samsung’s first 4K OLED gaming monitor at 27″ in size. The 16:9 aspect ratio screen packs 165 pixels per inch and with a respectable refresh rate at 240Hz.

Meanwhile, the Odyssey OLED G6 (G60SF) goes all in on speed. This is Samsung’s first OLED screen that goes up to a whopping 500Hz of refresh rate. The 1440p (2560 x 1440), 16:9 aspect ratio screen is geared for competitive games where every frame matters.

The previous G6 model, which is featured in Hatten Hotel’s esports room package, goes up to 360Hz.

Both the new 2025 Odyssey G8 and G6 features a response time of 0.03ms (GTG), AMD FreeSync Premium Pro and Nvidia G-Sync, plus it’s VESA DisplayHDR True Black 400 certified, so it supports HDR.

Both of these new displays are being showcased at the show floor of CES 2025. Plus, Samsung is also showcasing the 27″ Odyssey 3D (G90XF) monitor, a glasses-less 3D monitor.
