NetEase Games has announced that its annual games showcase show NetEase Connect is returning this year.
NetEase Connect will take place on May 20th, ahead of the start of Summer Game Fest, with 15 titles across various genres to be showcased. Six of them will be brand new game reveals.
The rest of them will be made up of already-released and already-announced titles under NetEase’s catalogue, which includes:
- Harry Potter: Magic Awakened (iOS, Android)
- The Lord of the Rings: Rise to War (iOS, Android)
- Naraka Bladepoint (PC)
NetEase Games has published a vast library of mobile and mobile-first games, though these few years have seen the Chinese-based publisher starting to ramp up production of games for the core gamers playing on consoles and PC. Most recently, they have set up Jackalope Games, a new studio based in Austin, Texas, USA.
In last year’s show, the games lineup wasn’t that particularly exciting. But that was a time before NetEase started acquiring and building up new dev studios.
NetEase Connect 2022 will air in Japanese first at 4.30 AM PST (7.30 PM Malaysia Time, +8 GMT) and then at 10.30 PM PST (1.30 AM the next day Malaysia Time) for the English broadcast.
