Mortal Kombat 11 On Switch Is Handled By Shiver Entertainment

Mortal Kombat 11 not only looks ridiculously beautiful and gory, but it’s also coming to all the major platforms, including PC (Steam) and Switch. Yes, the Nintendo Switch.

In an interview with GameRevolution, Mortal Kombat 11 producer Trevor Traub revealed that Miami-based Shiver Entertainment is at the helm of the Switch version.

“They’re developing it at the same time as us [NetherRealmStudios] so it’s sort of a co-development,” he said. “There is no lead SKU.”

On that note, Traub mentioned that “special geometry reductions” are used to make MK11 run on the Nintendo handheld/console. So it will not be at visual parity with the consoles and PC versions.

Shiver Entertainment previously worked on Scribblenauts Showdown. another game published by WB Games.

Mortal Kombat 11 is getting over here and will be out on April 23rd for the PS4, PC (Steam), Xbox One and Nintendo Switch.
