Capcom has revealed what’s coming to Monster Hunter Wilds in its first Title Update (free content update) arriving next week.
Title Update 1 will see a new monster being added, the return of Mizutsune last seen rather recently in Monster Hunter Rise.
Alongside it, players can also hunt Zoh Shia. The big boss of Low Rank can now be endlessly challenged again at High Rank.
With the addition of Mizutsune and the ability to properly hunt Zoh Shia outside of redoing that one story mission, the game will add two new armour sets corresponding to each monster.
And for a limited-time event, an Arch-tempered Rey Dau will appear. This should be even more tougher than a regular Rey Dau and a tempered Rey Dau that can be encountered on the regular, and materials from hunting it down can be forged into the Rey Dau Gamma armour set. The set should look similar to other Rey Dau sets, but expect different skills attached to each armour piece.

But it’s not just new monsters. Monster Hunter Wilds will be adding the Grand Hub, a proper hub for all hunters to gather, engage in the new Barrell Bowling mini-game and watch vocal offerings by Diva at night (essentially concerts). Wilds didn’t have a unified player hub, the game had base camps in each regional map.
Arena Quests is making a return, too. These are more or less speedrun challenges for hunters to test their might and skill. The challenges can be done solo, or with the support of other players or with AI-controlled Support Hunters. Some challenges even requires you to beat them using predetermined weapons and gear, something veterans of the series should be familiar with.
Arena Quests can be attempted via the Grand Hub. In addition, the Squad Information Counter will move to the Grand Hub upon unlocking access to the location, available by HR 16, just after unlocking High Rank upon completing Chapter 3.

For hunters who may have hunted too much in the first week of launch, there’s a good reason to come back in April with the arrival of Title Update 1.
The next Title Update is set to arrive in the summer (June-August), with a monster teased which fans quickly identified as Lagiacrus.
Though in May, another small content update will arrive which includes a collab with another Capcom title, the ability to see all the Endemic Life you’ve stuffed from those capture nets and more.
Title Update 1 for Monster Hunter Wilds releases on April 4. Monster Hunter Wilds is out now on PS5, PC (Steam) and Xbox Series X|S. Check out our review of the game here.
