MMU Cyberplay Is An Upcoming LAN Party With Esports Tourneys Open To All, Register Here

The good old spirit of LAN parties is still alive in Malaysia. One of the coming events this December is MMU Cyberplay. Organised by the students of Multimedia University (MMU), it is the biggest LAN party on campus open to all gamers in Malaysia to join.

It also has a few esports tourneys for you to join too. The organisers’ aim for the event is to “foster the growth of esports in Malaysia”.

To join the party, you can register here. Normal price is RM90, with MMU students only charged RM70. Early birds get additional RM10 off.

There’s a tournament for FIFA 19 and Tekken 7 with a prize pool of RM1,000 each. There’s also a Dota 2 tournament with a RM2,000 prize pool. Each with separate registration fees. More information can be found here.

If you have a group of friends or a clan going, you can bring along your PC setups and make your own play session. Or join others play session. No one’s stopping you from making a 100-man Minecraft server, or a 100-man PUBG private lobby amongst those in the LAN party. Expect some free cans of Red Bull should you join in.

MMU Cyberplay will be held at Dewan Tun Canselor, MMU Cyberjaya from December 7th-9th.
