MLB The Show 25 Introduces The Cover Stars And Sets March Release Date

PlayStation and San Diego Studio has revealed the cover stars for their upcoming edition of their long-running baseball series, MLB The Show. And unlike previous years, they are highlighting three All-Star prospects of the sport this time instead of just one.

The cover stars are the Pittsburgh Pirates’ Paul Skenes, the All-Star rookie pitcher, and two All-Star Hitters in the form of Cincinati Red’s Elly De La Cruz and the Orioles’ Gunnar Henderson, all of them were part of last year’s American All-Star Team as teammates. In football (or soccer) terms, think of it as the current crops of young guns like Lamine Yamai, Ferran Torres and Alejandro Garnacho gracing the EAFC cover.

While there’s no gameplay showcase yet, there is some additional info that was announced in their post on the PlayStation Blog, with the series now also going full Current Gen plus Nintendo Switch (and Switch 2 possibly) in their upcoming release, while also ending their Xbox Game Pass deal with Microsoft this year. An unfortunate turn of events, but that’s business.

MLB The Show 25 will launch on March 18, on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch, with Early Access beginning on March 14 for anyone who purchases the Digital Deluxe Edition.
