Soedesco announced that it will be publishing Mirth Island, the cosy rhythm adventure game by Indonesian indie devs Clay Studio.
Mirth Island stars Dodo the young duck and starlet whose acting career has unfortunately not led him to stardom. Returning home to Mirth Island, he found theater in ruins. That sets the stage for Dodo’s new act: rebuilding his beloved theater alongside childhood friends Vivi and Rita as part of his own healing journey.
Mirth Island will have you roam the island, meet friends, complete quests and complete rhythm-based mini-games, all wrapped in “a story about resilience, personal growth and the strength of community.”
Mirth Island isn’t quite cosy escapism, where one have fun in peaceful pleasures video games can offer. Rather, it’s aiming to be a warm blanket and a pick-me-up for those who really needed it. At least that’s the vibes it has based on this new trailer.
Clay Studio previously released Mirth Melody in 2024, a free game that also stars Dodo and feature rhythm game gameplay.
Mirth Island has no release date yet, but it’s coming to PS5, PC (Steam) Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch.
