Mike Laidlaw is most famous for his work on the Dragon Age series joined Ubisoft Quebec last year. Now, he has left the company.
Over on Twitter, Laidlaw tweeted on his departure from the developers. It looks to be on good terms, considering the Ubisoft Quebec account also replied sending good wishes.
Quick update from me!
Today (Jan 31st) is my last day with Ubisoft. Huge thanks to the talented and welcoming folks at Ubisoft Quebec City for my time there.
Now to take stock and figure out what’s next!

Laidlaw joined Ubisoft Quebec around last year, working on an unannounced project. We do know that Ubisoft Quebec is working on Gods & Monsters, a Zelda-like open-world RPG, and like many Ubisoft games for 2020, got delayed. That said, Laidlaw never specifically mentioned what project he was involved in during his stint at the studio.
Ubisoft is currently changing how they operate their editorial team to ensure their games be more varied from each other.
