The wonderful and actually good strategy tactics game Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle is getting a sequel. Called Mario + Rabbids: Sparks Of Hope, the Mario party and the Rabbids are now off the Mushroom kingdom to venture into space, only to find more danger.
The unlikely team-up of Nintendo’s and Ubisoft’s mascots will be taking down the evil entity known as Cursa as inflicts chaos on the planets to consume the Sparks- a fusion of Lumas and Rabbids.
Mario + Rabbids: Sparks Of Hope is bringing some big changes to the gameplay system. Instead of being purely ala XCOM with the turn-based tile system, it now ditches the grid for a more fluid system. It will still be a mix of turn-based tactics and real-time action.
The overworld exploration has also changed a bit, now looking more like a normal 3D platformer, until an enemy encounter loads you to a battlefield that is.
There will be a cast of nine playable characters that you make a party of three from. Also, Mario has two guns now. He’s dual-wielding now.
Mario + Rabbids: Sparks Of Hope is coming in 2022 exclusively on Nintendo Switch.
