Manor Lords, the Steam Early Access hit by Slavic Magic and publisher Hooded Horse, has released a new update available now.
Previously available in the Steam beta branch, Version 0.8.024 (or the more marketable name Update 4) features a bunch of new content as well as gameplay changes.
For fans, or rather the folks who are not a fan of how the storage system works, this update has made significant changes to that part of the logistics in the city-builder. Like stalls only can get their supplies from storage buildings, and you can now see the total supply cap of a particular resource from the market tab.
The patch notes goes more in detail on the changes in this regard, but it should streamline some of the more obtuse aspects of the game.
As far as features go, Manor Lords now have two new maps to play on. And you can now build bridges by using the Road tool and going over rivers. Taverns now have a Level 2 upgrade, and Stone Wells can be upgraded as well.
And, bringing it back to logistics gameplay, there’s now an option to “Overstock” on distributing buildings (Tavern, Marketplace), should you wish to have more stock being placed in the stalls rather than have it stay in the storage.
Manor Lords has been a sensational hit, having sold more than 2.5 million copies since its Early Access launch last April. The naturalistic way you can build roads and houses (in that they don’t adhere to grids), and the amount of other non-city-builder features like diplomacy and Total War-style RTS battles made it stand out compared to other city-builders in the market, and it’s a big market.
Manor Lords is available now in Early Access on PC (Steam, Epic Games, Microsoft Store, GOG).
