Manor Lords Sales Pass 2 Million

The Early Access release of city builder Manor Lords continue to be selling like hot cakes. Publisher Hooded Horse announced it has sold over 2 million copies of developer Slavic Magic’s debut title.

And this is all reached within three weeks of launch.

“It’s been wonderful to see so many players give Manor Lords a try,” said Hooded Horse CEO Tim Bender. “We had some pretty optimistic expectations and even some wild hopes, but reaching two million copies on Manor Lords so quickly has exceeded even those.”

The 2 million copies does count sales from all storefronts, including on Epic Games Store, GOG and Microsoft Store. So it’s more than just converting the three million wishlists on Steam into sales. (Manor Lords, before its release, was the most wishlisted game on Steam.)

Manor Lords is set in the medieval times where you, as a lord of a region, gets to develop a town. A free-flow, non-grid-based building system is paired with some light production management and survival elements. But its other big selling point is the Crusader Kings-esque diplomacy and map expansion as well as the Total War-esque real-time tactical strategy combat. And it’s game primarily developed by one person (with some help from others, of course, like the backing of a publisher).

The city builder sensation hasn’t quite impressed us in its Early Access form, but again, our opinion has been proven to be in the minority here as sales numbers keep climbing up.

Manor Lords is available on PC via Steam, Epic Games Store, GOG and Microsoft Store. It’s also on PC Game Pass.
