Maneater Adds Ray-Tracing Support To PS5 and Xbox Series In Latest Update As Player Count Surpasses 5 Million

More than 5 million players have played Tripwire Interactive’s 2020 shark RPG game Maneater, the publisher and developer announced.

To celebrate the occasion, the game is getting a free update which adds ray-tracing graphical effects to the PS5 and Xbox Series X versions, as well as various quality of life changes and stability improvements across all platforms.

The full patch notes of the update can be found here.

Since launch, Maneater has received a DLC release and was offered for free on PS5 as part of PS Plus.

The premise of becoming the ever-evolving apex predator of the sea sure is popular. Having 5 million players is no small feat, especially for a smaller label like Tripwire.
