Mafia: Definitive Edition Adds Noir Mode, Customisable HUD In New Update

The remake of Mafia is out now, and 2K has just announced the first post-launch update for the third-person action game, now live.

Update 1.03 will be adding Noir Mode, which gives the game a black-and-white filter and a film grain effect. Just to hammer home the Prohibition Era aesthetic even more should you choose to enable it.

The update will also let you customise the HUD elements you wish to see. The elements include in-world game objective, mini-map enemy markers, and navigation features (turn-by-turn instructions, mini-map GPS). You can also just opt for a minimal HUD mode too.

Lastly, there will be new content being added to Free Ride mode, though the blog post here is being coy with what exactly is the new content- you’ll have to discover those by yourselves for now.

Mafia: Definitive Edition is out now on the PS4, PC (Steam, Epic Games Store), Xbox One and Stadia.
