Like A Dragon Gaiden Has A Physical Release, But Only In Asia

Like A Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name is out now, and if you’re looking for a physical release of the spin-off game starring mainstay protagonist Kazuma Kiryu, there is one. Albeit limited to a specific part of the world.

Physical releases of Like A Dragon Gaiden for PS4 and PS5 is available in Asia (R3 region). The copy includes English and Chinese languages, and in Malaysia, priced starting at RM140. That’s lower than the usual full-priced game (the $60 USD equivalent in MYR is RM239), and actually lower than the $50 USD MSRP it has in the US.

Physical copies are available for purchase at local stores or ordering online.

Like A Dragon Gaiden doesn’t have a physical release in North America and Europe, so if you are from those regions and really, really want to grab a physical copy, you’ll have to import one. We have yet to spot an Xbox copy, however.

Like A Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name sees players take control of Kazuma Kiryu one more time as we follow the aftermath of Yakuza 6. The story itself, where Kiryu now goes by codename Joryu as agent under the Daidoji faction, takes place concurrently during the events of Yakuza: Like A Dragon (in other regions, the title is Like a Dragon 7 Gaiden, for this reason). This entry has action combat rather than turn-based battles, and a substantial amount of mini-games. Plus, beating the game will unlock a special demo for the upcoming Like A Dragon Infinite Wealth.

Like A Dragon Gaiden is out now on PS4, PS5, PC (Steam, Microsoft Store), Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S. It’s also available on Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass.
