Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga Covers All The Nine Films With Nearly 500 Playable Characters
Usually, there should be another Lego game from TT Games around this time of the year. But not this year. No. This year they have one big title they are working on. It’s Star Wars.
TT Games is returning to Star Wars with Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga. The game covers the whole nine films of the Skywalker saga, from The Phantom Menace to last year’s Rise Of Skywalker. This also marks the first time the latter, and the previous film, The Last Jedi, be playable in Lego video game form.
The developer has revealed the key art for the game, which encapsulates the massive scale this title is. Covering nine movies worth of story- all made from the ground up- is no easy feat.
In an interview on Starwars.com, there are some other neat tidbits that have been shared by the developer. For one thing, Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga allows you to play any episode you like from the get-go. The first two Lego Star Wars games, covering the prequel and original trilogy, forced you to go through chronological order.
Another interesting tidbit is how massive the playable character roster will be. There should be close to 500. For comparison, the last Lego game, The Lego Movie 2 Videogame, has 205. For Star Wars fans, it’s highly likely your favourite character- no matter how obscure- can be playable.
The current crop of Lego games by TT Games started from the success of 2005’s Lego Star Wars. So it’s cool to see them returning back to the universe and making a massive title covering all nine films now that the current trilogy has wrapped up.
Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga will be out later this year for the PS4, PC, Xbox One and Switch. Expect to see and hear more about the game later this summer.
