Left Alive, The Action Game Set In The Front Mission Universe, Releasing In 2019

Delay from the expected 2018 release

Last year at Tokyo Game Show, Square Enix debuted a new IP with big names attached to the project. Simply titled Left Alive, it had Toshifumi Nabeshima (Armored Core), Yoji Shinkawa (Metal Gear Solid) and Takayuki Yanase (Mobile Suit Gundam 00, Xenoblade Chronicles X) as part of their main developers team.

Despite an expected 2018 release, this new trailer shown at Sony’s pre-TGS Playstation Lineup Tour event has moved the action survival game to 2019. This new trailer showcase the story, the invasion of Novo Slava, where you play as three different characters and escape the city.

Despite the action game looking more like a Metal Gear Solid spin-off, it is rather a Front Mission spin-off. The original series is a tactical JRPG where you have a team piloting mechs, in-game called Wanzers.

Left Alive has a release date of February 28th in Japan, though no concrete date on its English release yet. It will be available on the PS4 and PC.
