Latest The Sims 4 Kits Are Designed By Long-Time Modders

The Sims 4 continues to add more paid content, and but this time, the latest pair of Kits, mini-DLCs with a hyper-specific theme, is created by the life sim game’s own custom content creators. In other words, modders.

(Custom content, CC, is what mods are called in The Sims community.)

Myshunosun’s Cozy Kitsch Kit and Trillyke’s Sweet Slumber Party Kit are designed by established custom content creators, Myshunosun, and Trillyke.

The Sims 4 Cozy Kitsch Creator Kit features furniture with very bright and contrasting colours.

Meanwhile, The Sims 4 Sweet Slumber Party Creator Kit adds pajamas and sleepwear for that perfect sleepover nights as depicted in Hollywood movies.

The announcement blog post goes into details on how the experienced custom content makers work together with the developers of The Sims 4. From what we gather from the post, it’s a nice collaboration between the parties. There is mention of the creators getting compensated for their work, but no specifics.

This collaboration comes from the recently established The Sims Creator Program, which allows community members to work closely with developers for projects like this.

The Sims 4 is taking a page on how Paradox incorporates the works of modders into their games. Cities: Skylines had a lot of these packs designed by modders.

The post on The Sims blog reassures that free custom content will remain available. But with these kits, players on console gets to experience the work of these custom content creators that are only available on PC. For a price.

The Sims 4 Cozy Kitsch and Sweet Slumber Party Creator Kits is out now on PS4, PS5, PC (Steam, Epic Games Store, EA App), Mac (Steam, Epic Games Store, Origin), Xbox One and Xbxo Series X|S.
