Laguna Seca Is Coming To Gran Turismo Sport

Looks like another real-life circuit is coming to Gran Turismo Sport. Laguna Seca, a mainstay of the series since its appearance in Gran Turismo 2, is back.

Now named the Weathertech Raceway Laguna Seca, the track in deserts of California, USA, it is most famous for its cockscrew turn, a tight S-turn that sharply slopes downward.

We have heard from sources that Laguna Seca is going to be showcased at the FIA GT World Championship World Finals, part of the GT World Tour, taking place this weekend. A screenshot leak of the race schedule spelling the track name posted on the GTPlanet forums not long after.

Now, Gran Turismo is publicly teasing this in their teaser trailer for the final World Tour event of the year. The 20-second mark clearly shows the circuit logo with the cockscrew turn being shown as well. The screenshot is most likely real and we probably see Laguna Seca in action soon.

Recently, Gran Turismo Sport added Spa-Francorchamps, with a few months of wait time from its first showcase on the World Tour event to release. Whether this will require the same long wait time, or already ready for this month’s free content update, remains to be seen.
