Judgment, the Yakuza spin-off by Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio, got hit with a controversy in Japan as actor Pierre Taki, who lends his voice and likeness to the character Hamura in the game, is now under arrest for drug charges.
This prompted Sega to halt the sales of the Japanese version, called Judge Eyes, to replace the actor and his likeness out of the game.
Despite that, Sega of America has reassured that the English release of Judgment is still on track as scheduled. Though Hamura will see some changes.
Due to unforeseen circumstances, the character model and Japanese voice for the character of Kyohei Hamura will be adjusted for the Western release of Judgment, launching on June 25, 2019.

Screenshots and trailers featuring Hamura have been temporarily removed from all of SEGA’s official channels. Updated versions of these materials will be made available at a later date.
