Do you know that Indonesian horror game series DreadOut has a multiplayer spin-off of sorts? It’s called DreadHaunt, developed by DreadOut devs Digital Happiness and published by Nuon Games. The horror themed multiplayer game can be played cooperatively or as a PVP experience, it can be played up to 4 players but also accommodates solo play. The different modes of play here has range.
And that range is further extended with the latest update which adds Assault Mode. This is a wave-based survival mode that can be played up to five players, or solo.
And for solo players, Assault mode brings AI bots to DreadHaunt that can help bring extra firepower and support to survive the ghastly Indonesian-themed horrors. Some of them are entirely invisible. Players can scavenge gear in the surrounding area and relocate if needed be, and there is a final wave where you can win.
In addition, DreadHaunt is also adding new and free Assault Special Agents and new Assault Mode costumes for the existing nine Agents in the game. They’re looking rather tacticool with the new Assault Mode-themed fit.
DreadHaunt also has a single-player campaign, a social deception mode (i.e. like Among Us) played in the third-person for up to 3-5 players and a Ghost Hunting mode where it’s one players team up to face against the Dread (i.e. like Dead By Daylight). Now it has a mode that’s like Call Of Duty Zombies with Assault Mode.
DreadHaunt is out now on PC (Steam) and Xbox.
