IO Interactive has now revealed the full release date of Hitman 3, the conclusion to the World Of Assassination trilogy beginning at Hitman 2016 and then Hitman 2 in 2018.
When it launches, the game will include a free next-gen upgrade. For Xbox, it will use Smart Delivery so that you will own the Xbox One version and Xbox Series X version. For PlayStation, you’ll just get the option to digitally download the PS5 version if you bought the PS4 version.
Hitman 3 will see IO Interactive self-publish for the first time. If you own Hitman 2016 and Hitman 2 on the same platform, all the previous levels will be playable in the new game. It’s also the first time Hitman will be playable in VR in its entirely on PS VR.
Hitman 3 launches on PS4, PS5, PC (Epic Games Store), Xbox One, Xbox Series X and Stadia.
