E3 2018: Here’s The Big Game Announcements From Devolver Digital

Bloods were spilled, several were murdered on stage, various satirical comments, a visit by the ghost of Dave Lang (which is not really dead), a new cinematic universe was established and three actual video games. That’s Devolver Digital’s second E3 “press conference”.

It’s a crazy ride that you should watch the whole 30 minutes of absurdity.

But if you want to just get the big game announcements, here’s the full list.

SCUM

Described as a “Supermax Open Wold Survival”, it will be on Steam Early Access this August.It is a full-on survival game with a pretty meticulous simulation on health- including metabolism or stamina. It is developed by Croteam and Gamepries.

My Friend Pedro

Imagine dancing a ballet, but with guns. My Friend Pedro may look like another 2D twin stick shooter, but the acrobatics you can pull while shooting uzis akimbo-style looks really fun. Add that you can also do trick shots by shooting at items that reflect bullets and it’s a beautiful shooting game when executed right.

It will be out in 2019 for PC and Nintendo Switch.

Metal Wolf Chaos XD

#FreeMetalWolf is a success! After a resurgence in cult following in 2016, Devolver expressed interest in bring this original Xbox exclusive that was also exclusively released in Japan despite having full English voice-overs to modern platforms.

And they did it, the absolute madmen.

The game, made by From Software, is a story of how Micheal Wilson, the 47th President Of The United States Of America, fends against a coup orchestrated by his Vice President, Richard Hawk. Mr. President will take on a tour around the country and liberate it once more single-handedly by piloting his mech, Metal Wolf.

The remaster is set to be out this year for PS4, PC and Xbox One.
