Here’s New Gameplay Of Cyberpunk 2077, Focusing On Playstyle Variety

Cyberpunk 2077 finally released a new snippet of gameplay today. First shown behind closed doors, now we get to see 15 minutes of the footage. Unlike the first big gameplay reveal, this is not uncut gameplay, as it serves to show you different playstyles in approaching the same mission.

The new gameplay footage focuses on a new district- Pacifica- which was supposed to be a tourist hub until the corpos pulled out their funding. Think dead malls, but on a wider scale, making it one of the more unsafe territories. There are two new factions shown in the footage too. The Voodoo Boys are made out of mostly native Haitians that are obsessed with the cyberspace. The other faction is The Animals- a group of folks obsessed with achieving peak performance and max gains by any means necessary.

The footage shows two styles of gameplay- a Solo build that’s more upfront and combat focus and the Netrunner that focuses on hacking. Unlike the Cyberpunk tabletop games, there are no fixed classes so you can mix and match abilities to your liking, the two builds serve as examples should you stick to the traditional classes.

The gameplay also shows a bit on the menus where you equip gear. And yes, you can look at your character V there, and in various mirrors in-game, for those that wanted to look at their playable character in this first-person RPG.

Here’s the gameplay video:

There is also an hour of developer Q&A, which reveals more tidbits on the features on show, like the Lifepaths that you can pick as your origin story.

Cyberpunk 2077 will be out on April 16th, 2020 for the PS4, PC (Steam, Epic Games Store, GOG), and Xbox One, with a version for Stadia coming soon.
