Here’s All The Announcements From State Of Play September 2019

The third iteration of State Of Play is blistering in pace with a lot of good game announcements. As it should. Here’s a round-up of all the announcements in written form:

Humanity

Humanity is the latest game by Enhance Studios, the developers that recently did Tetris Effect. Though the main idea came from design studio THA. The Playstation Blog post by them reveals that this is essentially a human group simulation- what if a group of humans, like a flock of birds, is simulated in simple but intuitive rules. And make a game out of it.

It looks like a bizzare take on Lemmings and that’s totally fine. Humanity is coming out later in 2020 to the PS4, with PS VR support.

Call Of Duty Modern Warfare

The reimagined Modern Warfare has a new story trailer setting up the conflict.that will be explored in the campaign. Captain Price is back, and the fictional nation of Urzikstan is part of the plot.

Wattam

Wattam is the next game by the creator of Katamari Damacy, Keita Takahashi. You play as Mayor as he reconnects with friends in this whimsy new adventure game. It will be out in December.

Arise: A Simple Story

Published by Techland and developed by Piccolo Studio, it tells the story of a hero relieving his happy days and darkest tragedies after his funeral pyre.

From the post on Playstation Blog, the story is a personal one for the developers, and it could be a nice surprise if you’re looking for a narrative experience.

L.A. Noire The VR Case Files

The VR version of L.A. Noire, which appeared some time ago together with the current re-release on current consoles, now available on PS VR.

MediEvil

Sony’s latest remake of their backlog of games will be getting a limited-time demo. The Short-Lived Demo will give you a taste of what Sir Daniel Fortesque’s undead adventure will be like, now remade for the PS4. Acquiring Dan’s Helmet, an item, from the demo and you get to keep it in the main game.

Civilization VI

The excellent 4X game is gracing the PS4. With all of the game updates, DLCs and expansions coming on November 22nd. Though the expansions are sold separately as a bundle.

Death Stranding
There’s already a barrage of info regarding the upcoming strand game from Tokyo Game Show recently. So here’a limited PS4 Pro bundle coming out alongside the game later this November.

Afterparty

Best friends Milo and Lola are now dead. But apparently, if they can outdrink the devil, they get to go back to Earth. From the makers of Oxenfree, Afterparty will be using the same intelligent conversation system where it can change the story outcome and relationships based on what choice you pick, all flowing like a conversation should, during gameplay. It will be out on October 29th

PS Plus Games For October 2019

MLB The Show 19 and The Last Of Us Remastered are the two free games for PS Plus subscribers in October. Note that this is not confirmed for Asia just yet, but since both games are by Sony, it’s highly likely all regions will be getting these.

The Last Of Us Part II

The State Of Play ended strong with the new trailer, and release date reveal, for Naughty Dog’s The Last Of Us Part II. This is more of a tone-setter trailer, showing bits of the story without saying too much. Also, Joel is here.

The Last Of Us Part II will be out on February 21st, 2020.
