Supermassive Games next game that isn’t part of the Dark Pictures Anthology is The Quarry. The horror narrative game and spiritual successor to Until Dawn stars major Hollywood actors in a very familiar horror setting- a summer camp.
A prologue for The Quarry has been shared by publisher 2K, showcasing some gameplay in a 30-minute long video. The prologue features two teenage camp counsellors Laura (Siobhan Williams) and her boyfriend Max (Skyler Gisondo) driving to Hackett’s Quarry Summer Camp, one night ahead of when they should arrive. And as you can expect, some things happened.
The Quarry is a narrative game, so expect to make some split decisions and do (or miss- your choice) quick-time events and see how the plot unravels as a result. It’s all very cinematic stuff with some bits of spooky exploration here and there.
If you want to immerse yourself in the world ahead of the release, there’s also a six-part podcast, the Bizzare Yet Bonafide Podcast, delving more into the lore.
The Quarry is set for release on June 10 for the PS4, PS5, PC, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S.
