Have A Look At Several Game Environments Recreated In Unreal 4 By Malaysian Students

Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, and recreating an existing work can help one understand what makes them tick.

For the students at KDU Glenmarie, it’s part of the course. The campus’ official Youtube channel has just recently published a showreel showcasing some of the student works on creating game environments using Unreal 4 by recreating existing games and other visual reference.

Games featured in the short showreel includes Bloodborne, Uncharted 4, Deus Ex: Mankind Divided and The Division. Take a look below:

It may not be entirely accurate, considering some of the games operate using other tech, they still look impressive don’t you think? In our interview with Streamline Studios, Technical Producer John Flannery was praising the local talent that could fit right in the world of AAA game development. Now we get to see some examples of it.

KDU has been offering the Bachelor of Game Development (Hons) programme since 2012. You can learn more of what the course entails at their website here.
