Halo Infinite might have missed the Xbox Series launch, but there will be Halo games that make use of the power the new next-gen consoles come equipped with.
In a tweet, Xbox has confirmed that the Halo Master Chief Collection will be getting Xbox Series X|S optimisations. This includes 120fps in campaign and multiplayer modes, improved split-screen (which can run at 4K on Xbox Series X).
This will be a free update to all owners, and also to those who have an active Xbox Game Pass subscription.
The Master Chief Collection includes Halo: Combat Evolved, Halo 2, Halo 3, Halo 3: ODST, Halo: Reach and Halo 4. Halo 4 has yet to arrive on PC, but the rest are all available on Xbox One right now. The Xbox Series enhancements will arrive one week after the console launch, on November 17.
