Halo The Master Chief Collection Adds Halo: Reach, Coming To PC (Steam)

It was revealed that Halo The Master Chief Collection is getting one more game in the remaster collection. Halo: Reach, the original developers Bungie’s last Halo game, is now included.

Not only that, but we are also getting the Master Chief Collection on PC. And on Steam too aside from the Microsoft Store. However, the rollout will be of in-game chronological order so PC players will get Halo: Reach first followed by Halo: Combat Evolved, 2, 3 3: ODST and lastly 4.

“We’re embarking on a journey with our community to build a PC experience that delivers on PC gamer expectation,” the post on Xbox Wire reads. “The team is passionately committed to ensuring that all of the features, bells, and whistles expected in a modern PC title are included with MCC.”

“Along with ‘bring Halo: The Master Chief Collection to PC!’, the next loudest refrain from Halo fans has been to “add Halo: Reach to Halo: The Master Chief Collection!” and we’re excited to make good on both requests later this year.”

Halo: Reach’s multiplayer will be free for owners of the collection on Xbox One, with the campaign and Firefight mode as paid DLC. The game will run 60fps on console.

It’s been a long while since Halo appeared on PC properly, Halo 2 was the last PC release. Developers 343 Industries are working with Splash Damage and Ruffian on the Master Chief Collection, which has come a long way since its buggy, broken launch in 2014.
