Arc System Works is gearing up for its cross-platform network beta test of Guilty Gear Strive next week.
The beta will be available on PS4, PS5, PC via Steam and also on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and PC via Microsoft Store.
The beta will be held on February 3 to 6.

The cross-play beta is a generous offering, as you don’t need to own the game (anyone can download the client), access to all of the current 23-character roster (including all DLC characters, up to Sin Kiske, the latest to be released), and also access to to the tutorial and training mode on top of the expected online matches options.
The available modes in the cross-play beta are the following:
- Tutorial Mode: Learn the basics of how to play.
- Mission Mode: Learn useful techniques for matches in a mission format.
- Survival Mode: Fight consecutive battles against the COM with a limited pool of health.
- Training Mode: Recreate a variety of situations and practice to your heart’s content.
- VS COM, VS 2P: Fight against the computer or a friend.
- Online Match (Rank Tower, Open Park, Player Match): Play online against others from across the globe.
- Combo Maker: Make your own original combo or setplay, and search for other players’ recipes to try.
- Digital Figure: Set up characters, furniture, effects, and more to create your own unique scene.
- Gallery: Check out the characters and BGM.
Even if you already are playing GGST, you can still make use of the beta to try out the DLC characters if you haven’t owned them yet. But the crossplay beta is a separate client download to the game you own.
If you’ve always wanted to experience The Smell Of The Game and see why fans are Bullshit Blazing about this 2.5D anime fighter, the cross-play beta is worth checking out.
Guilty Gear Strive is out now on PS4, PS5 and PC via Steam, and coming to Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and PC via Microsoft Store later this Spring (Q2).
