Go-Go Town Adds Online Co-Op In New Update

Go-Go Town, the Animal Crossing-like indie cosy city builder sim by Prideful Sloth and publisher Cult Games, gets a new update, adding online co-op and more features.

Previously the game only supports split-screen co-op. Now, up to four players can take up the responsibility of the Mayor of the host’s town.

If they let you, that is. Hosts can assign roles like Vice-Mayor, Townie or Tourist to allow invited players some level of access to all the town’s tools. Some might just be there to cause civil unrest by annoying the local townies or throwing items around (a new feature also added in the update). It is possible to have all four players help out to build up the town, too.

Here’s a short list feature additions to Go-Go Town’s Online Co-Op Update:

  • Online Co-Op
  • Rotate Buildings (“the community’s number-one request”)
  • Throw items from your backpack to friends, tourists or into storage
  • New rides (lowrider, motorcycle with sidecar, long bike)
  • Relocate Key Landmarks (Train Station, zone enterances)
  • Fast Travel (requires discovery and repiars)
  • Text Chat and Emotes, including multiplayer emotes
  • New Townies
  • New tools, food and player outfits
  • Quality of life tweaks
  • “a few ‘accidental features'”

The Go-Go Town Online Co-Op Update is now live on PC (Steam), alongside a discount. So now’s a good time to go-go get your friends to buy a copy to check out your pride and joy, or get some extra manpower to get all those resources for city building.

Go-Go Town is still in Early Access on PC (Steam) and it’s coming to the Nintendo Switch in 2026.
