GigaBash Ultraman Rising DLC Adds One New Fighter

Made-in-Malaysia indie kaiju fighter GigaBash isn’t done with adding new content. The UltraParty continues with the release of a new DLC fighter, developer Passion Republic Games announced.

The new DLC fighter, Ultraman & Emi, is based on the Netflix show Ultraman: Rising. Unlike the previous Ultramans (Ultramen?) from the previous Ultraman DLC, Ultraman & Emi is the first 2-in-1 character for the brawler. The lanky and oddly-proportioned Ultraman carries the newborn kaiju Emi on his back, and can fire off laser beams just as Ultraman could, doubling their firepower.

GigaBash’s roster of characters, now 23-strong with all the paid DLC characters, have either been kaijus or tokusatsu heroes. This is the first where a fighter is both.

GigaBash Ultraman: Rising DLC will launch on November 28, 7 PM PT (November 29, 11 AM Malaysia Time, +8 GMT) on PS4, PS5, PC (Steam, Epic Games Store), Xbox and Nintendo Switch. It’s also available on a Smilegate’s PC game distribution platform Stove, which is offering GigaBash for free at the time of writing.
