Ghostwire: Tokyo Delayed To 2022

Remember Ghostwire: Tokyo, the other PS5-console-exclusive game from Bethesda? It’s been a while since we see any gameplay or information about Tango Gameworks’ first-person game.

Guess what, it’s now delayed to 2022.

“We want to get the game in your hands as soon as possible so you can experience the unforgettable version of a haunted Tokyo we’ve been hard at work building,” a statement by the developers posted on Twitter. “At the same time, we’re also focused on protecting the health of everyone at Tango”.

As always, with countless more developers having to make the decision to delay their games because of the pandemic, it’s a very reasonable decision.

But also, consider this: PlayStation won’t get any more of Bethesda games any time soon after Ghostwire: Tokyo and the other first-person PS5-console-exclusive game Deathloop. Upcoming Bethesda games Starfield and Redfall will be Xbox console exclusives, now that the publishers are owned by Microsoft.

With the latter looking to be solid for release in September, might as well give the developers at Tango more time. Ghostwire: Tokyo is now set for release sometime in 2022.
