Ghost Recon Wildlands continues to be the crossover point for the Tom Clancy games. First was the reappearance of Splinter Cell and its iconic operator Sam Fisher (and his main voice actor Michael Ironside). Now it’s Rainbow Six’s turn for a crossover, being part of the Special Operation 2.
This new mission in Wildlands see Rainbow Six operator Twitch on an assignment to track down another operative, a female.
Completing the mission will unlock the Caveira Gloves which reveals the position of nearby enemies.
Also worth noting is during the mission, there’s a small nod to the cancelled Rainbow Six Patriots which can be heard as part of the in-vehicle conversations. Patriots was leaked early, then revealed to be a very serious story with strong themes.
However, a change in hardware generation and leadership caused the game to cancelled, paving way to the multiplayer-focuesed Siege, which has now found a large audience despite a rough launch.

Outside of the new free mission, there is also new emotes that comes with a new social wheel, toggle AI teammates off to play the game entirely solo, Ghost Mode which is a permadeath mode with access to only a pistol and friendly fire is on. Additions to the PVP mode is also included. More details can be found here.
