Ghost Recon Breakpoint Announced, Coming Out On October 4th

The sequel to 2017’s Ghost Recon Wildlands has been announced today. Ghost Recon Breakpoint takes place in a fictional setting of the Auroa and instead of taking down a drug cartel, this time you are fighting a drone startup company and ex-US military unit gone rogue.

With Breakpoint, Ubisoft attempts to address the many feedback it received from their loyal players, making it more realistic and with more focus on survival. Bodies can now be dragged, be it dead enemies so they won’t compromise you or your teammates to heal in a safe place. There’s a blowtorch to cut fences so you won’t be spending too long looking for an opening of an outpost. And there are no AI teammates- you either go truly solo or squad up with up to 4 friends for co-op or PVP, which comes out of the box this time around. Traversing down slopes will see you slip and roll.

Breakpoint will also feature classes with unique skills, and enhanced character creator and a promise of more endgame content post-launch, including raids and story.

Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Breakpoint has been teased for some time with an ARG about the drone startup Skell Technology, a special mission added in Ghost Recon Wildlands featuring Jon Bernthal as Colonel Cole D. Walker, the main baddie you will be facing. And it was also accidentally leaked ahead of time.

Ghost Recon Breakpoint will be out on October 4th for the PS4, PC (Epic Games Store, Uplay) and Xbox One.
