Geek Fam Emerged Victorious At Asia Pacific Predator League 2018

Malaysia-based Dota 2 team Geek Fam has won the Asia Pacific Predator League 2018. The national winners from all eight participating countries gathered at Jakarta, Indonesia for the regional level tournament, with a $500,000 USD prize for the champion.

In the end, Geek Fam pulled an upset against the home crowd’s Boom ID in a best of three match, scoring  2-1, to win the first ever Asia Pacific Predator League. Quid Pro Quo from the Philippines finished 3rd place.

Geek Fam has slowly rising up in the SEA Dota scene, and this win should give the team some momentum.

The success of the Asia Pacific Predator League, which attracted around 1,197 teams participating, will not just be stopped here. Acer has announced that the league shall continue in 2019, with 14 countries in the Asia Pacific region participating. Thailand will host the finale where all winners from respective countries will battle it out for the grand prize.
