Another month, another free game by Ubisoft on the PC. Started back in June to celebrate Ubisoft’s 30-year anniversary, Prince of Persia and Splinter Cell were given away. For August, Rayman Origins takes the slot.
A more recent release compared to the other two games mentioned, Rayman Origins is a 2D platformer with the titular Rayman, known for his floating appendages. With a beautiful aesthetic, Rayman Origins is certainly fun romp that also has drop-in, drop-out local multiplayer up to 4 people.
The same caveat applies, the game is available through uPlay only, so that can turn off some people. If you’re fine with the state of the propriety launcher, or just don’t mind using other launchers as long as you get free games, go claim Rayman Origins here.
