It’s time to welcome a new series of Festival Playlist events in Forza Horizon 5. The Japanese Automotive Series, or Series 17 if you’re still counting numbers, is now live and is themed around cars made in Japan. So expect events that will get you to drive Toyotas, Nissans, Subarus, Mitsubishis and more.
Forza Horizon 5 Series 17 New Cars
As for new cars, we’re getting two new-to-Forza cars plus two more making a return from past games. The hero car for this series is the 2023 Nissan Z, unofficially referred to by fans as the 400Z. The new Z is a culmination of the long-running Fairlady/Z line of sports cars with various contours on it referencing previous iterations of the line.
The other new car is the one dubbed as Japan’s first sports car, the Toyota Sports 800. It’s tiny, but nippy and looks classy, especially today.
Here are all the reward cars for Forza Horizon 5 Series 17:
- 2023 Nissan Z – 20 points in Summer
- 1995 Toyota MR2 GT -20 points in Autumn
- 1992 Mitsubishi Galant VR-4 – 20 points in Winter
- 1965 Toyota Sports 800 – 20 points in Spring

Alongside that, there are new EvenLab props for the creatives out there. The props all serve to allow players to create their own parking lot layouts which either can be sick location for a photoshoot or a place to hoon around with sick drifts.
On that note, Forza Horizon 5 will pay tribute to the late Ken Block, who tragically passed away earlier this year, in the next series, the Horizon Wilds takeover. You can expect to see new player badges, a Forza Link chat phrase, and the return of the Hoonigan GYMKHANA 9 Ford Focus RS RX next month.
