Forza Horizon 5 Getting New Story Content, Ford Mustang Mach-E Drift Car In Series 6

Forza Horizon 5 will be getting a new Horizon Story when Series 6 drops next week. This will be the first new story content to be released since launch. The new Horizon Story, Drift Club Mexico, will contain 6 chapters in which you get to slide cars in style.

A familiar character, Robert, who appeared in Forza Horizon 4 will return to share his enthusiasm in the art of driving cars sideways.

The story will walk you through the art of drifting cars by having you at the wheels of the Toyota AE86, to hooning select Formula Drift cars. There’s even a tribute to one of Ken Block’s Gymkhana videos that took place in the streets of Guanajuato, a town which Forza Horizon 5 happens to feature. Then finally ends with the future of drifting: an overpowered EV drift car in the form of the Ford Mustang Mach-E 1440.

The Ford Mustang Mach-E 1440 has seven motors, all adding up to 1440 bhp worth of power. It also can change between all-wheel-drive and rear-wheel-drive, which can be done by clicking the left stick, just like how convertibles use it to toggle the roof or select cars can toggle Track Mode.

The car is created by Ford and RTR, the tuning company founded by Formula Drift champion Vaughn Grittin Jr. The Horizon Story will see Grittin making a voice cameo, as he explains to you the wonders of the electric Mustang he had helped create that you’ll be drifting.

The Drift Club Mexico Horizon Story will be available throughout Series 6 as part of the Festival Playlist’s monthly event. Once the Series is over (which runs for four weeks), the Horizon Story will unlock once you set up the Horizon PR Stunt outpost as part of the normal progression.

Series 6 of Forza Horizon 5 will start next week, with the accompanying game update to drop on March 29 ahead of the start of the new Series.

Forza Horizon 5 is out now on PC (Steam, Microsoft Store), Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S.
