Electric Racing Series Formula E and their technological partner Virtually Live has unveil that they are set to release a racing game that they say will give the players “the chance to race live against the grid in the ABB FIA Formula E Championship” using cutting edge telemetry relaying the action onto the game itself.
The gameplay looks to be in the vein of Trackmania, in which you race with the other racers in a ghost form to see who is the fastest but sadly without the jumps as it features all the tracks from the official season (Hong Kong, Mexico,Zurich,New York, etc).
According to the Formula E Media and Business Development Director, Ben Padley, Players “will be able to download the track and trial it at the same time as the drivers” but it doesn’t mean that the game is limited to live events only as there is the mode to play “real-life scenarios and challenges from previous races and pit your skills against friends, rivals and drivers”, akin to series rival Formula 1’s Multiplayer Scenario Mode.
The game will be available on mobile platforms and PC some time in 2019 and we can’t wait to see how we fair against the grid next year.
