Armour up and raise your swords. The sequel to Chivalry: Medival Warfare now has a release date, with an upcoming closed beta too.
Chivalry 2 will see 64 players fight in medieval battlefields utilising weapons of the era. These includes swords, catapults and ballistae, various traps like bear traps, bows, and even… a flaming chicken.
The sequel brings new classes, expanding the base four classes into 12 subclasses. The new additions include the Skirmisher (melee/range hybrid) and the long-distance melee specialists Poleman.
Chivalry 2 will also support cross-play between consoles (PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S) and PC (Epic Games Store).
A closed beta for Chivalry 2 will take place from March 26 to 29 to test out the cross-play. For now, the only way to guarantee an in on the closed beta is by pre-ordering the game, which is currently live on PC via the Epic Games Store.
(The price for Chivalry 2 is $39.99 USD, but thanks to regional pricing, for Malaysia, the base game is only $16.99 USD– roughly RM68+)
The Chivalry 2 cross-play beta will include additional modes aside from Team Objective such as Team Deathmatch and Free-For All.
Chivalry 2 will be out on June 8 for the PS4, PS5, PC (Epic Games Store), Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S.
