Ferrari Esports Series Returns For 2023, Expands Into Southeast Asia

The Ferrari Esports Series is back for 2023 and for the first time, the competition is now open to players from Southeast Asia to participate as part of the Asia Pacific region.

The Ferrari Esports Series is a six-month racing tournament where sim racers from Europe, North America and, new for this year, Asia Pacific compete to represent their regions and culminate in the grand final event to take place on October 12.

Players not only compete for the championship win, but also can stand to a chance to officially represent the Prancing Horse as part of the Scuderia Ferrari Esports Team.

The games of choice here are Assetto Corsa and Assetto Corsa Competizione, both titles developed by Kunos Simulazioni.

Format-wise, the series start off with a Hot-Lap qualification, where the top 24 players in each region for the 8 Hot-Laps stages (all in different tracks across Assetto Corsa and Assetto Corsa Competizione) then qualify for the Qualification Races. Top 3 finishes in the Qualification Races (of which there are 8 of them) will then go to the Regional Finals. And the Top 3 of the Regional Finals (plus one wildcard entry) will then head to the Grand Final in October.

Registration for the first four Hot-Lap stages is now open, and will commence starting May 1. Registration can be found here.

The Ferrari Esports Series will also be covered through video content and broadcasts for fans to follow along.

The launch show, which is an explainer for this year’s series, is hosted by Julia Hardy and Mike Channell- familiar names that have done gaming, esports, and sim racing coverage.

The full season will be broadcast on Ferrari’s Twitch, YouTube and Facebook.
