Farming Simulator 25 Has A New East Asian Map (With A Southeast Asian Name)

Farming Simulator 25 is expanding beyond simulating just the European agriculture with a new map based in East Asia. But funnily enough, it has a name you’d expect from a land based in Southeast Asia.’

A new trailer for Farming Simulator 25 revealed as part of Tokyo Game Show 2024 unveils the game’s first map based in East Asia. It’s called Hutan Pantai, which is Malay and Indonesian for “Beach Jungle”.

The location seems to be a mish-mash of East Asian cultures, with bright neon signs in the city side and hilly plains to paddy fields. No wheat here, rice is the carbohydrate of choice for most folks in Asia and now you too can experience rice farming using various modern farming machinery.

Also, there is the addition of kei-trucks, tiny little pickup trucks used often in the Japanese countryside. Licensed vehicles are not seen, however.

Expect Hutan Pantai to have a harbour, winding roads and remote temples.

Hutan Pantai is one of maps to be available in Farming Simulator 25.

Developed and published by Giants Software, Farming Simulator 25 is distributed by Sega in Asia. The game is currently showcased at Tokyo Game Show 2024 at the Sega/Atlus booth.

Farming Simulator 25 releases on November 12 for the PS5, PC (Steam, Epic Games Store) and Xbox Series X|S.
