Even The Guests At Two Point Museum Are Silly

Sega and Two Point Studio released new info drops on what to expect in their upcoming builder/management sim Two Point Museum.

After detailing the silly exhibits one can place in the museums (which actually does require careful placements to properly balance and juggle the many different stats to keep everyone happy, now we have the different kind of guests who will be visiting said exhibits in the museums.

Some of the straightforward. Professors would make donations to the museum if the exhibits fill their desire for Knowledge. And Profs can impart Knowledge to other guests… at the cost of them becoming less susceptible to Buzz.

Meanwhile, Children want Buzz to be happy. The won’t gain Knowledge from reading Info Stands, as they will refuse to read them. But you can fill their knowledge needs via Interactive Displays. And They are in constant need of Entertainment. And they litter a lot.

And now things get silly. You can have special guests like the Yetis. These folks would only go to museums with a collection of Frozen Finds on display, but they can arrive to any museum with enough Marketing. Yetis, like Profs, can impart Knowledge passively to other guests, and they don’t litter like Children.

You can also get Clowns to visit the museum. Or rather, make Clowns. So, you can get visitors to be eaten by a Blooming Buffoon, a Man-Eating Plant, which then turn a person into… a clown? Clowns give passive Entertainment boost to other guests, and they retain their previous level of Buzz, Knowledge and Happiness from when before they were eaten and transformed.

And lastly, one of the special guests that can turn up in Two Point Museum are Cheese-Mongers. These out-of-the-world guests will turn other guests happy. And hungry. Because they smell of cheese.

From the looks of it, balancing the composition of guests that turn up to the museum plays an important part in making everyone happy. And an over-influx of a specific guest type can have a major knock-on effect. Janitors can get really busy if too many Children starts wrecking havoc. But it begs the question, can we… deal with the situation by having the kids line up to see that man-eating plant? To turn them into Clowns, of course.

Two Point Museum releases on March 5 on PS5, PC (Steam) and Xbox Series X|S in Asia. The physical edition of the game, available for the PS5 in Asia, will launch one day earlier on March 4.
