A new game update for Elden Ring Nightreign has gone live. Update 1.02 has finally allowed players to play in a party of strictly two players, duos mode if you will.
Nightreign was designed to be a three-player co-op affair, but it also has an option for playing solo. Yet there was no option to play with just one friend and not contend with dealing with a random third-wheeler from matchmaking. Game balance will take account of the number of players, so you’re not making it any more difficult for playing one person short.
The Expedition menu has also relabelled the “Expedition Type” setting to “Number Of Players” with this update.
In addition, Update 1.02 also adds new filters for your Relics.

Elden Ring Nightreign is the second Elden Ring release in two years. This multiplayer spin-off turns the core gameplay and rich content of the 2022 soulslike action-RPG into a new game loop that blends elements of a co-op-only battle royale, roguelike and even some bits of extraction games. To great success. You can check out our review here, and the game has since sold 5 million copies since its release back in May.
Elden Ring Nightreign is out now on PS4, PS5, PC (Steam), Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S.
