Elden Ring Adds Ray Tracing In Update Version 1.09

A new update for FromSoftware’s open-world action RPG Elden Ring has gone live. Update version 1.09 adds ray tracing available on PC (that meets the minimum/recommended specs) and Gen 9 consoles (PS5, Xbox Series X).

The game requires at least a GeForce RTX 3060 Ti 8GB or a Radeon RX 6700 XT 12GB graphics card to have ray tracing enabled. Quite the high requirement, but understandable.

The rest of the update is all about balance adjustments, including PvP-only balance changes. You can see all the balance changes and bug fixes in the full patch notes here.

Elden Ring has since sold 20 million copies, with an expansion currently in the works. FromSoftware is also currently developing Armored Core VI Fires Of Rubicon, which should be released sometime this year.
