E3 didn’t take place this year and 2020, and 2021 was only a digital event. But the trade show is coming back with a physical event, open to the public, come 2023.
E3 will now be operated by ReedPop, organisers behind events like PAX, EGX, New York Comic-Con and more. A set of capable hands with experience handling major consumer-facing events, to say the least.
E3 will cater to both games industry personnel (media, game devs, publishers, distributors) for B2B interactions, as well as B2C show floors for the public to attend. For E3 2023, these will be held on different days and at different locations.
The E3 Business Days will take place from June 13-15.
While the E3 Gamer Days, as the public show is called, will be held on June 15 and 16.
Digital events, i.e. livestreams, will be starting from June 11 and will be running throughout the whole show.
“E3 is one of the global gaming industry’s few opportunities to come together, unite as one loud voice, and show the world what it is creating,” said ReedPop VP of Gaming Kyle Marsden-Kish.
“Our vision is to reunite the industry by re-establishing the traditional E3 week, bring back that spark, and restore E3’s role as a truly magical global showcase event for game creators and consumers.”
